Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 May 2026

Uptime Scheduler ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and billing information.

AWS account data. To provide scheduling services, we collect AWS account IDs, resource identifiers (e.g. EC2 instance IDs, RDS identifiers), resource tags, and scheduling configuration you define. We do not store the contents of your workloads or any application data running on your infrastructure.

Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with our dashboard, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken, to improve our service.

Log data. Our servers automatically record technical information including your IP address, browser type, and timestamps when you use our service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

3. AWS Access

Uptime Scheduler operates by providing a CloudFormation template that you deploy into your own AWS account. You are in full control of this deployment — you review the template, choose when to deploy it, and assign whichever IAM role or permissions you are comfortable with. We provide guidance on the minimum permissions needed for scheduling to function correctly, but the final configuration is entirely yours.

All scheduling actions are performed by Lambda functions running inside your account. We do not have standing access to your infrastructure, and all activity is logged in your own AWS CloudTrail.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with trusted third-party service providers necessary to operate the service, including payment processors (Stripe) and infrastructure providers. All third parties are bound by data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and scheduling data for the duration of your subscription and for up to 90 days after account closure, after which it is permanently deleted. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. See our security page for more detail.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@uptimescheduler.com.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice in the dashboard. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
