Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 May 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Uptime Scheduler. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

Uptime Scheduler provides automated scheduling of AWS cloud resources (including EC2, RDS, ECS, and NAT Gateways) to help reduce infrastructure costs. The service operates by deploying infrastructure into your AWS account that you authorise and control.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You must be 18 years or older and have the authority to bind your organisation to these Terms.

3. AWS Permissions and Access

To use the service, you will deploy an AWS CloudFormation stack that grants Uptime Scheduler IAM roles with permissions to describe and manage specific resource types. You acknowledge that:

4. Acceptable Use

You may not use the service to:

5. Payment and Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. If payment fails, we may suspend your account after a grace period of 7 days.

6. Free Trial

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start. After the trial period, you must subscribe to continue using the service.

7. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for any losses resulting from downtime or service interruptions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Uptime Scheduler shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business interruption, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim.

You acknowledge that incorrect scheduling configurations may result in resource unavailability or unexpected AWS charges. Always test configurations and maintain appropriate backups.

9. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for material breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, you should remove the CloudFormation stack from your AWS account. We will delete your data within 90 days of account closure.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
